Victor Foxtrott / Germany

Victor Foxtrot (Florian Vogel): NR5 Table Lamp. When Form Follows Film. Inspired by the robot of the Disney movie "Short Circuit", a character from which it took its name. Far away from your typical lampshade. It also looks like a living being. It’s adjustable head looks like it’s watching you. Pointing down it looks sad, pointing up it looks happy. The Heat sink displays its function instead of hiding the technical aspects of the design. Less Mess wardrobe. When Form Follows Framing. An open wardrobe that limits itself to a powder coated steel frame holding a polished brass pole, suspended by leather straps - the remarkable detail which according to Vogel is quintessential to good design. The brass and leather elements are supposed to gain a unique patina over time. Same Same Table. When Form Follows Foxtrot. A lighter, less rustic version of the designer’s old monastery table, clear and elaborate. Handmade. The elegant and simple lines of its powder coated steel frame give it an almost sculptural impression.
