Confetti are small pieces of paper, especially used to throw around at celebrations. The origins are from the Latin ‘confectum’, with confetti the plural of Italian ‘confetto’ which means small sweet. By tradition, confetti symbolises health, prosperity, happiness, fertility and longevity. Confetti can be used as an indication for a group of people in different, multicoloured outfits.
